Earth Gathering (EG) is an art festival with an Earth Day twist. This JURIED ART FESTIVAL was designed to educate and inspire the community with Earth friendly art, music, food, products and ideas. Many consider this a great “learning” festival for people getting into vending their art. The EG festival has taken place on the lawn of the Pump House Center for the Arts since its inception in 2000 and always coincides with Chillicothe Art League’s annual Spring Open Exhibition on display inside the gallery as well as the annual Scioto Waterway Cleanup in the morning. THIS IS A FAMILY-FRIENDLY (that means kids are everywhere) EVENT. THE USE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AT OUR EVENT. PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN COOLERS. CAL is a non-partisan organization. IRS laws prohibit us from endorsing candidates or political parties.. but we can support issues that are in line with the Earth-friendly theme. Generally, though, this is not a political event. It is a community arts festival! Good vibrations all around.

We have already sought and found artists with products that are HAND-MADE (in other words, not factory made) that fit the theme of the event such as plants, recycled or upcycled art, or plants, or work inspired by nature or made from natural products. All items have been juried in. POSTMARK deadline for art vendors was March 1. Only artists who reside within a 100-mile radius of Chillicothe are invited. We do accept late entries (with a fee) after the deadline but no later than March 16 when judging occurred .All vendors provide vendors licensese, and provide EG with proof prior to the festival.

The National Art Honor Society Students from Unioto and Chillicothe High School work together to keep the little ones busy in the KIDZART area from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
