“Adam Lee is one of those that deserves immediate attention.” — No Depression

Appearing live at Steiner’s Speakeasy. 8/9. $5

Adam Lee is a traveler at heart. The son of an Air Force officer, he grew up all over the United States and Europe which informs his outlook and writing style. Originally a drummer in punk rock bands, since stepping out on his own, he’s lived in Baltimore, Phoenix, Kansas City, and Chicago. Over the past 10 years, he’s continued to travel, performing all over the U.S. and Europe collecting songs and stories like souvenirs. He’s written and performed rock n’ roll, country, folk and indie music, wrestling each new style and genre to his terms with the help of his unique and commanding baritone. He currently lives in Ludlow, KY on the banks of the Ohio River.

Adam spent three years performing in the Tony Award winning Sun Records musical ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ playing the role of Johnny Cash. As a solo artist he has played with Dave Alvin, Lucero, Frank Turner, Dale Watson, and Junior Brown among others. His original music is a mix of country, folk, punk, and Americana.

“Sincerely, Me is a surprising departure for Lee, and in departing, he has left behind an ever-swelling wave of faceless rockabilly acts who hug so close to tradition that they can’t be differentiated from one another.” — The New Territory
