Event Details

The Chillicothe Halloween Festival (presented by Southern Ohio Events, Inc.) has revived a community favorite event this year. The 2017 Ghost Walk will take place on September 30, 2017 beginning at 11:00am and continuing through 6:00pm and will features 13 haunted locations along the walking tour. $10.00 admission tickets are available on the festival’s website or in-person at the Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The original Ghost Walk was created by the Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau and later organized by the League of Women Voters (LWV) as a fundraiser, which was retired in 2015. With the connection of hauntings and Halloween, the committee for the Chillicothe Halloween Festival felt it would be a great fundraiser for the newly established festival.

To make this event different than previous years, the 2017 Ghost Walk will begin and end in the Majestic Theatre Courtyard. Inside the courtyard, those awaiting their tour to begin can explore booths by the Chillicothe Ohio Paranormal Exploration Society (C.O.P.E.S.) along with three psychics who will be offering readings. Psychic Ricardo, Psychic Cindy and the Mystic Rose will be available to help answer questions you have while helping the Chillicothe Halloween Festival raise money.

The inaugural Chillicothe Halloween Festival will take place in Yoctangee Park on October 13th and continue through the 15th. During the festival, there will be special exhibits, merchandise vendors, mechanical rides, inflatables and favorite festival foods. Guest speakers will include Jeff Hartz of Zombie Works, Jim Willis author of The Big Book of Ohio Ghost Stories, Cameron Jones, UFO Researcher and producer of The Mothman of Point Pleasant documentary and local paranormal investigator and author, Neal Parks. Musical entertainment will feature the bands Mothman and Ultimate Ozzy, with performances from the Majestic Theatre’s Musicians Workshop.
