Back by popular demand….Join us for a special Yin Yoga class with guest teacher Barb Duncan! Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues (ligaments, fascia, and joints) of the body, which are generally not targeted in most yoga classes. Therefore, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the more familiar dynamic and muscular (Yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat and lengthening/contracting of the muscles. Yin Yoga is best practiced in a normal to cool temperature room. This class is great for athletes and yogis of ALL levels. Poses are done on the floor and can be held from 1-20 minutes (we will hold most of them around 5 minutes each).
